Altar Flowers this weekend have been presented to the glory of God by Joe & Eunice Hrudka as they celebrate their 52nd wedding anniversary. May God continue to bless their marriage.

 

The Executive Board has created a position as Temporary Part-time Education Assistant to coordinate Sunday School, Adult Bible Study, VBS and Confirmation.  A job description is available on the lobby bulletin board. Resumes should be returned to the church office by TODAY.

 

A-Frame  The very first ever A-Frame will be held here tonight (Sunday) at 6:30.  This informal, contemporary devotional service is led by the RYMS  and is open to anyone.  Bring your family and we’ll see you tonight!

 

Habitat for Humanity Annual Chili Lunch will be held on Saturday, April 12 at First Lutheran Church from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  They are in need of baked goods which can be dropped off at First Lutheran by 11 a.m. on the 12th.  For more information, contact Bob Gregurich.

 

Annual Preschool Fundraiser   - In partnership with Roorbach Greenhouse,  preschool will be offering outdoor plants including  potted plants, bedding plants and hanging baskets. Order blanks are available in the church lobby. Plants must be paid for in advance. You will receive gift certificates for the plants you ordered in time for Mother’s Day. Plants can then be picked up at Roorbach’s,  anytime starting mid-May into June. 

 

Shanty Town  - Redeemer youth will participate in Shanty Town activities on April 26 at church from 3:30pm-1:00pm on Sunday April 27.  They will be sleeping outside in cardboard boxes to learn what it’s like to be homeless and asking for donations for Habitat for Humanity.  Please consider supporting their efforts when asked for a contribution.  Shanty Town  Registration is due by April 19th.  Need extra forms?  They are next to the RYMS bulletin board in the hallway.

 

Confirmation Students – Please pick up your confirmation photo from the table in the library. Be sure to take the package with your name on it.

 

State Youth Gathering meeting today after church in the fellowship hall.  Not sure if you want to come to the gathering, or have questions?  Come learn what it’s all about.

 

Who Likes Cookies? There are a few opportunities left before summer to help with cookies and juice. While everyone likes homemade cookies, it is not necessary to bake – the fellowship is what is important. Cookies & juice are provided. Please check out the signup sheet on the bulletin board in the lobby and sign up today.

 

Bethesda Lutheran Home is sponsoring a bus trip May 8-9 leaving from Redeemer’s parking lot at 6:45 a.m. The tour includes visits to Bethesda, Camp Matz, Bethesda Gift & Thrift shops, The Fireside Theatre (“Anything Goes”), National Dairy Shrine Museum and Upper Krust Pie Shop. Cost is $149 per person. Reservations can be made by call Mary Schaumberg at 800-383-8743 by 4/24.
