Bethesda Lutheran Home is sponsoring a 2-day bus trip May 8-9 leaving from Redeemer’s parking lot at 6:45 a.m. The tour includes visits to Bethesda, Camp Matz, Bethesda Gift & Thrift shops, The Fireside Theatre (“Anything Goes”), National Dairy Shrine Museum and Upper Krust Pie Shop with overnight accommodations at Holiday Inn in Watertown.  Cost is $149 per person. Reservations can be made by call Mary Schaumberg at 800-383-8743 by 4/24.

 

Bill Hilgendorf has accepted the position of temporary part-time education director.  He will work with the Board of Education in the area of Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Adult Bible Classes and Confirmation.

Shanty Town -  Registration for Shanty Town is due today!!  Shanty Town is next weekend, Saturday, April 26th starting at 3:30.  Please use your donation sheet to start collecting pledges.  Let’s see how much we can raise for Habitat for Humanity. 

Adults, please remember your wallets next weekend as the youth will be asking for donations for Habitat for Humanity after church services. Donations of food for Shanty Town are requested.  Please sign up on  the bulletin board in the lobby if you can help us out. Soup, carrrots & juice can be bought anytime. Sandwich need to be here by 5 p.m. on Saturday, the 26th.

 

Family Movie Day - We will be showing the movie, “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” on Sunday, April 27. We will be starting with a potluck lunch right after church followed by the movie.  Sloppy joes and drinks will be provided, just bring a dish to pass.  Everyone is invited to attend.

 

Prince Caspian - This sequel to “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” is opening in theaters May 16th.  We are going to go as a group from Redeemer that evening.  Tickets are for sale starting today after church (also available the next two weekends after church) or in the church office during the week.  Tickets are $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under 11.  We will provide a bus (movie time TBA).  Invite your friends and join us for a fun family event.

 

Prayer Service –The LWML will host a prayer service on Saturday, May 3 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6522 So. Business Dr. in Sheboygan. Coffee and fellowship begin at 9 a.m. and the services starts at 9:30 a.m.  Everyone is welcome.
