Altar Flowers have been presented to the glory of God by Scot & Amy Eisenschink as they celebrate their 17th wedding anniversary.

 

Can you provide transportation for Carl Krueger? Mr. Krueger is unable to drive but would like to attend church. He resides at River Wood Estates on South Rapids Rd. He is willing to come on either Saturday or Sunday. If you can help, call Bob Gregurich at 683-3042.

 

LAST WEEKEND TO purchase Prince Caspian advance tickets:  - This sequel to “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” is opening in theaters May 16th.  We are going to go as a group from Redeemer that evening to the 6 p.m. performance.  Tickets are for sale today in the lobby at $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under 11.  Following the movie, we will return to church for movie discussion and refreshments.

 

 A-Frame is tonight (Sunday) at 6:30 p.m.  The Cherub Choir will be sharing a song and the youth will be presenting Biblical themes from the Prince Caspain movie.

 

Auction for Missions – The LWML has several items up for a silent auction through May 4. To make a bid, write your name/phone # and bid on paper and drop it in the box provided.

 

Time-Talent – Treasure Forms can be dropped in the box located in the lobby.  Extra copies are available for your convenience.

 

Smelt Fry, the annual youth fundraiser, is on Tuesday, May 13 from 4:30 – 7 p.m. The sign-up sheets for food donations (cakes, bars, cookies, pickles, milk and coffee) and volunteers is now posted in the lobby.   Proceeds from this event benefit youth activities and are matched by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans up to the first $400 of profit.

 

Shanty Town, held last weekend at Redeemer, raised a total of $1682 for Habitat for Humanity. Thanks to all the adult chaperones, youth participants and members who helped make this a success. 

 

Sunday Education Celebration is Sunday, May 18 with breakfast at 9 a.m. in the fellowship hall. All Sunday School students & their parents, adult Bible class members and any congregation member is invited to attend.  A sign-up sheet for breakfast food donations will be posted in the lobby soon.

 

Brat Fries at Copp’s – Men’s Club is sponsoring a fry out on Friday, May 30 and the Canoe Trip Group is holding one on Saturday, May 31. Want to help out? Contact Byron Kowitz for Friday or Bob Gregurich for Saturday.

 

Next Sunday we celebrate Mother’s Day and Pentecost with a joint service with our Hmong members.
