The Old Testament Lesson will not be read during the worship service this weekend, however it is printed on the back of the bulletin for you to use as a meditation before the service begins or at home during the week.

 

Altar Flowers have been presented to the glory of God by Joe & Theresa Wiedemann as they will celebrate their 27th wedding anniversary later this month. May God continue to bless their marriage

 

THANKS to everyone who helped make the smelt fry a success.  We served over 200 people. The profit was $860 which includes $400 matching funds from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Brat Fries at Copp’s Men’s Club is sponsoring a fry out on Friday, May 30 and the Canoe Trip Group is holding one on Saturday, May 31. Want to help out? Contact Byron Kowitz for Friday or Bob Gregurich for Saturday.

 

June / July Newsletter Deadline: May 19 at 9 a.m.

 

The Lutheran Witness is the official publication of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.  If you would like to receive a yearly subscription, now is the time to renew or place your order.  Cost is $14 per year.  Place your check or cash in an envelope marked “Lutheran Witness” along with your name and address. Your subscription will start in September.

 

Do you have e-mail? If so, please share it to the church office.  The easiest way to do that is by sending an e-mail to office@redeemermanty.com with “email address” in the subject line. If you prefer, you can jot it down on the back of your offering envelope and we’ll take it from there. 

 

Our summer worship schedule will begin NEXT weekend and continue through Labor Day. Services will be on Thursday at 6 p.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m.  Bulletin notices need to be in the office by Tuesday at 9a.m.

Office hours are reduced during the summer months to 9 a.m.12 noon. If you need to get into the building at other times, please call ahead to make sure that the doors will be open. 

We are looking for volunteers to help in the church office during the summer when our secretary is on vacation.  Hours are 9 a.m.12 noon. No experience necessary other than a friendly phone voice.  If you would like to help out, give Mary a call.

 

BREWER GAME- It’s time to pay for the tickets if you signed up for the game on Sunday, June 22nd. . Cost is $25 per person, cash or checks payable to Redeemer Men’s Club. Place money in an envelope marked “Brewer Game” and bring to office or drop in the offering. Deadline for payment is June 15.

 

Family Day at Noah’s Ark Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells is Friday, June 27.  Redeemer will sponsor a bus for the first 45 people to sign up and make their payment. Cost is $27 for adults and children over 12 and $23 for children 12 and under. This will include admission to the park and an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet. Add your name(s) to the form on the bulletin board, put your money in an envelope along with your name & “Noah’s Ark” on the outside and drop it in the box provided in the lobby or bring it to the church office.  Children in grades 5 & under must be accompanied by an adult.
