Thailand Mission History

Redeemer began a mission in Nan, Thailand in May 2002. We provide an opportunity for students from remote villages in rural Thailand to receive education by providing food, shelter, clothing, school fees and adult supervision.  These students would otherwise have no opportunity to receive education after 6th grade. We have shared the Gospel through Bible studies and recorded Redeemer worship services but have not been able to staff an evangelist/pastor. Our congregation recently authorized such a position with funds provided through our endowment fund. Our recent contacts with the Thailand Concordia Lutheran Church have given us great hope that training for an evangelist/pastor could be gotten through their school in Bangkok. The mission trip in March by Pastor Her and Deacon Yang will look for a suitable person to be trained for our mission at Nan.
