Welcome to Redeemer! If you are a visitor, we would ask that you fill out one of the cards in the racks located next to the hymnals and drop it in the offering plate or hand it to an usher as you leave. Please give us your complete mailing address and phone number.
Thank You for helping us make everyone’s worship experience a meaningful one. We ask that cell phones be either turned off or put into non-audio mode during the service.
A Staffed Nursery is another service our congregation offers to families with children from ages newborn to 3 years of age both during our education hour at 9 a.m. and on Sunday during the worship service at 10:30 a.m.
Soup & Sandwich Meals will be served before each Lenten Service. The Sunday Adult Bible Class will be hosting the meal this Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m. Donations of sandwiches, cookies or bars, milk, kool-aid, crackers and paper products are needed. See the sign ups posted on the lobby bulletin board to help with upcoming meals. More signup sheets will follow for the remaining suppers. Lenten Worship follows the meal at 6p.m.
Brat Fry sponsored by the youth attending the New Orleans gathering this summer is today (Sunday) immediately following the service. Stay for hamburgers, brats or hot dogs, chips and soda.
There will not be a FUSION worship service this evening, Sunday, February 28 nor a RYMS meeting. Pastor Kolonich and family are attending a funeral out-of-town.
“How beautiful…” …the feet of those who bring good news!” Redeemer is preparing to share the love of Jesus Christ to people across the globe! Pastor Kolonich will be leading a mission trip to Hong Kong at the end of October. This mission trip will be teaching English in a Lutheran high school. Tentative dates are: October 21-31, 2010. If you would like to learn more information about this mission trip opportunity, come to the Informational Meeting to be held NEXT Sunday, March 7 immediately following the 10:30 worship service.
Special Thanks to Kim Berres & Lora Lutz for planning and implementing the holiday decorations since 2006. They have retired and would also like to thank the rest of their committee including Randy, Jake & Katie Berres, Bill, Stephanie & Brennan Lutz, Shirley Taylor and Dick, Mary & Jesse Orth.
And now we need your help! Worship services during the festival days of the church year are blessed by special decorations. We need members to help plan and decorate the church during these times (Lent, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.). Please contact Sue Leschke at 682-7973 or Pastor Miller if you can help.
Benefit concert for Habitat for Humanity Sunday, Feb. 28th (TODAY) at 2:00pm at First Reformed United Church of Christ, 3613 Waldo Blvd, Mtwc. Free will offerings will be accepted.
Ladies’ Night Out is an opportunity for ladies of Redeemer and guests to enjoy an evening of friendship, fellowship, fun, food, etc. You are invited to join with Dawn Horswill and Jeni Siebold on Friday, March 5 from 7 p.m. to ? to work on a craft project, learn something new, meet fellow members, laugh and have a good time. Bring a snack or beverage to share.
Redeemer Members at Miller Park – The annual Men’s Club sponsored bus trip to see the Brewers (play the Seattle Mariners) will be June 27th. Save this date if you would like to join the group.
Check out the Bookstore located near the library for Easter cards and napkins, confirmation cards, invitations and napkins as well as the latest shipment of birthday, wedding, anniversary, get-well and graduation cards.
Books – We are in the process of reorganizing the church library and have some books that we are taking out of circulation. There is a box located in the lobby. Help yourself to any books you want.
Thailand Mission History
Redeemer began a mission in Nan, Thailand in May 2002. We provide an opportunity for students from remote villages in rural Thailand to receive education by providing food, shelter, clothing, school fees and adult supervision. These students would otherwise have no opportunity to receive education after 6th grade. We have shared the Gospel through Bible studies and recorded Redeemer worship services but have not been able to staff an evangelist/pastor. Our congregation recently authorized such a position with funds provided through our endowment fund. Our recent contacts with the Thailand Concordia Lutheran Church have given us great hope that training for an evangelist/pastor could be gotten through their school in Bangkok. The mission trip in March by Pastor Her and Deacon Yang will look for a suitable person to be trained for our mission at Nan.
