Redeemer’s Thailand Mission Project began 10 years ago. This project is a dormitory, allowing youth who live in rural mountain villages attend a public secondary school. This project is located in Nan, Thailand, approximately 5 hours east of Chiang Mai. Since 2002, 38 youth have been given the opportunity to attend secondary school. 29 students have graduated high school, 10 have continued on to technical colleges and 7 students have attended universities. We currently have 12 students in the dormitory.
In 2010, God opened the door for this ministry to begin its second phase: to bring the Gospel message to the students. Pastor Kolonich and Pastor Her commissioned a young missionary, Preecha Yang, to serve Redeemer’s Thailand Mission Project through monthly Bible studies. In 2010, the dormitory house father and three children were baptized. In 2011, Redeemer’s Thailand Mission Project officially partnered with the Thailand Concordia Lutheran Church to further assist in the Gospel outreach to the project and students. The goal of this project is to one day become a preaching station for the Thailand Concordia Lutheran Church.
In March of 2013, Redeemer sent its first mission team to Thailand.
… for our team's continuous bonding and relationship building through facebook, skype, and emailing.
…that the Holy Spirit would continue to work in the hearts of those that they served, that they would continue to hear the saving message of Jesus.
…pray for the 12 students at Redeemer’s Thailand Mission Project, that they can focus on their studies
…pray for Preecha, the missionary to the project, that the Holy Spirit would use him to witness to the students.
