SCRIP Update: The amount we have raised through the SCRIP gift cards so far is $145. Visit www.simplifiedscrip.com and take a look at the special deals going on. Right now you can purchase a super scrip bundle which includes a $50 gas card to BP, Exxon Mobil, Kwik Trip, Sinclair, PDQ, or Stop n Go, PLUS two passes to Chula Vista Water Park, all for $75! That is a $35 savings on the water park tickets. And, on top of that, the RYMS will earn a 10% donation from the merchant. What a great deal!
SCRIP Fundraiser
We are starting a new fundraiser for the RYMS called simplified scrip. This involves buying gift cards from various merchants and the merchant in turn makes a donation to our organization (usually 2% - 5%).
The nice thing about this program is that there are hundreds of different merchants to choose from. You can purchase gift cards to pay for many things including groceries, gas, clothing, movies, and dining out.
You’ll be making a donation to the RYMS without buying anything you don’t need. The average family who uses $300/month of grocery cards and $100/month of gas cards would have an average donation of $150/year. If we had even 20 families participating at this level, we could raise $3000/year! Imagine the opportunities we could give our youth!
This will be a year-round opportunity for you to support youth activities here at Redeemer. The only cost is the amount of the gift card(s) you purchase and a small postage fee for having the cards mailed to your home.
